Job Overview:

The Marketing Account Manager will assist financial advisors and programs across the country with various marketing initiatives and support the corporate brand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marketing and a willingness to learn, be detail-orientated, and have experience in creating and customizing marketing materials, updating websites, video editing, and graphic design. This role will include helping to implement marketing campaigns, onboarding advisors with marketing resources, and providing support for the marketing team as needed.

 

The Marketing Account Manager will also help keep track of marketing assets and ensure that advisors have access to up-to-date materials. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused, team oriented, and are able to execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist financial advisors and institution programs with creating and executing marketing campaigns. Including but not limited to developing and implementing marketing/advertising strategies, plans and objectives, and marketing calendars.
  • Provide support and recommend best practices on various mediums including but not limited to website design, social media presence, video production, and LPL Financial marketing tools.
  • Conduct informational marketing presentations for financial advisors and institution program representatives to educate them on various marketing tools, resources, and best practices.
  • Write and edit content for advisors’ marketing collateral; demonstrating an understanding of compliance communication requirements.
  • Support marketing campaign and collateral management by coordinating with key team members to obtain compliance approval for materials.
  • Learn and stay updated on current social media trends, with a thorough knowledge and understanding of best practices.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of LPL Financials’ marketing tools and resources; learning how to implement and customize for specific target market strategies.
  • Work with the FRG onboarding team to bring new advisors on to FRG’s platform and prepare marketing materials for Day 1 implementation.
  • Design logos, graphics, and marketing collateral for brand development in financial advisors’ businesses; formatting as needed for a variety of mediums.
  • Support video production efforts, including editing, formatting, and ensuring content aligns with marketing objectives.
  • Assist with website design and maintenance, contributing to user-friendly and visually appealing online content.
  • Help manage and maintain marketing communication tools, including the marketing mailbox, internal CRM, tracking tools, and compliance approvals.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (preferred; or experience in lieu of)
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of marketing and/or project management experience in a financial institution or related capacity.
  • Demonstrated and proven interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer proficiency (3+ years preferred) with the following: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro), Microsoft Office, and web-based CRM required.
  • Strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Project management/organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple initiatives simultaneously; strong writing and editing skills.
  • Capable of managing competing priorities and adapt quickly to rapidly changing environments.
  • Proven ability to work both independently as well as part of a team, following through with assigned tasks, project components, etc., and providing updates as appropriate.
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media applications; general design skills for print and web; ability to learn website and video editing/production skills, with the preparedness to grow in this area.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to jump in and take on new responsibilities in the marketing department, learning on the job as needed.
